International Textile Collection

Guidance on donations

Please note, until we have finished cataloguing our collection we will not be taking further donations unless there are exceptional circumstances.

The mission of the Archive of International Textiles is to collect, preserve and document textiles and other related design material from most of the major textile producing areas of the world for the benefit of the public.

Our Collections Policy states that ULITA:

Priority will be given to objects with a known provenance. This will include objects whose place/date of creation, place/date of collection or former ownership is known.

Staff at ULITA may give guidance in relation to donation on other possible interested parties in the museum/heritage sector, but will not set up lines of communication on behalf of the depositor.

Please contact staff if you would like a copy of the Collections Policy.
