To mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Professor Aldred Barker, we’re celebrates the rich heritage of textile research and manufacture in the region. Professor Aldred Barker studied at the Yorkshire College with a Clothworkers’ Company Scholarship and was later made the Chair of Textile Industries, University of Leeds.
